Manifestation Board

Scrolling through Pinterest I came across something called a ‘manifestation board’. I have no idea what one is, but I liked it instantly.  My brain had one of those purely emotional reactions before reason has a chance to kick in and I thought to myself “Ooooo, pretty, good idea, do that.”  And then reason kicked in and I thought, “Shit, I need serious fucking help”. For clarification, I mean mental help, counseling NOT help creating the perfect manifestation board.

A manifestation board?!?  A MANIFESTATION BOARD??!!  I honestly thought for one moment that by creating this magical manifestation board in my home my dreams would come true.  I had a spot for it, well, two spots I was debating which location would be best.  Like a gene, or voodoo, or osmosis this would be my ticket.  What’s your dream job? Celebrity you’ve always wanted to meet?  Just slap a picture up there and BOOM!  Publisher’s Clearing house is at your door.

Then I put even more thought into it: I thought to myself, I already have manifestation boards, they’re called my Pinterest!  I have like 6 of them!  One is called ‘My Style’ one is ‘For the Home’ and ‘Future Lake House’.  None of the things I pin ever manifest thought.  So, am I doing it wrong?  Does it not work in the Cloud? Are virtual manifestation boards less effective than actual ones?

I seriously considered testing the theory.  I mentioned it to a friend, she told me it seriously works.  Not only do the boards work, but yes, actual boards work better than the virtual ones.  Then I remembered that she was my friend who read one of those Power of Positive Thinking books.  I work for the government people, I do not live in that world.    

I liked the board I saw.  It was cork, and had pretty colored tape holding all the pictures up.  Pictures of art and birds and Eiffel towers.  It was all pretty pale pinks and gold.  I can’t do it though.  If I tried it my board would probably look too much like real life, and I don’t need real life to manifest any more than it already has. 

Don’t get me wrong, if you have one of these, it’s clear from my tone that I actually envy you and your board of dreams.  Or board of almost reality.  However you want to look at it.  I mean, I’m still stuck over here with nothing better than wishful thinking to help my dreams come true!  So keep up the hard work and dedication, the cutting, the clipping, trimming, and (actual) pinning.  I wish you nothing but the best manifests.
